JAPANESE FOOD & EVERYDAY WELLNESS
Discover everyday Japanese food traditions and food choices you can continue after your trip. We also explore the spirit of itadakimasu — gratitude for food and the people who bring it to our table.
IDEAS YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN
Start with your own meals, preferences and daily schedule. Together, we turn what you discover in Tokyo into three practical steps for life back home.
Explore seasonal ingredients, whole grains and fermented foods, and how to combine vegetables with foods such as tofu, beans or fish.
Find options where you live, such as brown rice, oats, wholegrain bread, beans and local seasonal vegetables. Discuss what suits your preferences and dietary needs.
Reflect on sleep, mealtimes and daily routines. Explore small moments of care for yourself and others, including the Japanese custom of giving thanks before a meal.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
This personal session combines conversation, live blood image observation and practical ideas for your everyday life.
Reflect on your everyday routineUse a questionnaire and conversation to review your food, hydration, sleep, movement and emotional wellbeing.
View the live images togetherObserve a drop of blood that you collect yourself, magnified under a dark-field microscope. This observation does not identify nutritional deficiencies or diagnose disease.
Choose three practical stepsChoose three manageable actions together, based on your daily life and the food choices available in your home country.
We consider body, mind and everyday life together, and share information to help you reflect on your daily choices.
SESSION FLOW
We discuss how you feel, your daily habits, your concerns and what you would like to work towards.
You use a dedicated self-sampling device yourself, with a nurse beside you to guide you.
Together, we observe red and white blood cells and other visible features on the monitor.
Before you leave, we choose three practical actions that fit your daily life, including food choices you can continue at home.
